Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, watch enthusiasts and companies in the industry have joined forces to raise funds for the Finnish Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in Ukraine.
Over the years, the watch enthusiasts community has done significant charitable work in the form of Christmas fundraisers, which have raised several hundred thousand euros for the benefit of children and young people and mental health work. As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused concern among both enthusiasts and companies in the field, Watch Enthusiasts Finland quickly organized a fundraiser for Ukraine in favor of the Finnish Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

The total pot is collected in many ways, the most significant part of which is played by various auctions, where watch enthusiasts and companies put watches, other products and services up for auction in the Watch Enthusiasts Finland FB Group, as well as in other watch groups. Auction amounts are paid into a digital collection box.
The Finnish Red Cross was selected for fundraising by a community decision. Selecting an established operator focused on humanitarian relief as a fundraising target allows for a low-threshold donation to both individuals and companies. Anyone can participate in the charity fundraiser.
